Quality Engineering and Industrial Metrology Laboratory (QM-LAB)

The main activities within the laboratory range from dimensional metrology, with particular interest for Large Scale Dimensional Metrology (LSDM) systems, to the design, management and control of industrial processes and products.

During the years, interesting results have been obtained in the study and development of wireless systems for LSM applications, in the optimization of measurement processes and uncertainty analysis techniques, and in the development of diagnostic and self-diagnosis techniques for instruments and measurement systems.

Part of laboratory activities concern the study and dimensional characterization of complex forms, including the topographic analysis and the study of the mechanical behavior of technological surfaces.
